Van De Beek Has Been A Disappointment At Manchester United
The Man Utd player has not adapted well to his new club. According to reports in England, he is starting to ask himself why he signed for the club.
A reasonable period of time has passed and it is now looking like Donny Van de Beek’s signing is going to be one of the worst that has been carried out among the big clubs in the last transfer window.
The straw which broke the camel’s back was the match against Chelsea this weekend. It is not that he was bad, it is that he did not even have minutes. Two months after his arrival, Van de Beek is not liked by Solskjaer.
He has played just 59 minutes over the course of four Premier League games and he played the 90 minutes in just one match. That was against Brighton in the Carabao Cup.
In the Champions League opener, Solskjaer also made clear that he does not count on him at the moment: he played just two minutes of the game which saw United win at the Parc des Princes against PSG.
The match against Chelsea was revealing. The Norwegian coach gave Fred and McTominay a chance to play, two players who had hardly played recently. Bruno Fernandes was also involved. Pogba was the first change. You have to see it to believe it.
This lack of game time for the Dutchman does not do anything other than justify the comments from the likes of Patrice Evra as to why they signed the former Ajax man.
