AFCON 2023: You’ve another job – Macky Sall to Mane on his marriage

Senegal President Macky Sall has joked that the country’s national football team star, Sadio Mane now has another job following his recent marriage to Aisha Tamba.

Recall that the Al-Nassr forward tied the knot with Aisha in Senegal one week before the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

The former Liverpool star was at his country’s presidential office with the rest of his teammates to bid farewell to Sall and receive words of encouragement from him.

Sall had a special message for Mane as he congratulated the former Southampton player on the occasion of his recent marriage.

He then wished the 31-year-old a happy marriage, before reminding him that he has a duty to his wife now, apart from football.

“First of all, I would like to warmly congratulate our national Nianthi, Sadio Mane, who has just got married,” Sall was quoted by beinSports as saying.

“I called him up so that we could applaud him and wish him a happy marriage. May God bless your home and your descendants. From now on you have another job apart from scoring goals.”

Mane is set to play a crucial role for Senegal in the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire this January.

Senegal is currently the AFCON holder after winning the last edition.
