South African Younging Nasty C visit DJ Vlad While he was in the United States where he spoke about growing up in South Africa and being ahead of his mates by listening to American hip-hop music (Lil Wayne and T.I.) when he was still a teenager. The rappers inspired him to make his own rhymes and start pursuing music at a young age.

He also talked about grabbing the attention of AKA, whom he opened up for when he was just fifteen.
