It’s all over at the Allianz Arena, but there’s another 90 minutes to come at the Bernabeu next season. In a weird game of two halves, Real Madrid were fairly fortunate to be just one goal behind at the break, but they roared back into contention in the second half and scored two goals courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo. Bayern Munich were reduced to 10 men with the second half dismissal of Javi Martinez and looked exhausted after playing 30 minutes with 10 men. Arturo Vidal scored their goal and he should have had two more. The Chilean missed with a fairly straightforward header and then ballooned a penalty over the bar. Manuel Neuer was outstanding for Bayern and kept his side in the tie with a series of brilliant saves.
