SHOCKING VIDEO: Male Tortoise Chase aMan When Caught Smashing A Female Tortoise
Paul Rose, the Expedition Leader for the National Geographic Pristine Seas Expeditions, was passing through Assumption Island when he stumbled upon two tortoises having a very private, mating moment.
"He got wind of us," Rose says in the video captured on National Geographic. "He," referring to the very unhappy, interrupted male tortoise.

Rose tells his cameraman not to move as the huge (nearly 600 pound) tortoise comes towards them, full speed ahead (we say that lightly).

And what's just amazing, is that [he's] completely relentless to make sure you're well off his territory, which I thought might be 10 feet, but I've actually been on about a 400 yard round circuit here with this whopping great tortoise determined to take a bit out of my leg," Rose narrates.

Eventually, the tortoise drives Rose far enough away, and the two carry on their merry ways.
"If I hadn’t put on a good finishing sprint we would still be at it," Rose wrote in a recap of the incident.
