Liverpool took an early lead against West Ham at Anfield but were immediately pegged back by the relegation battlers.

David Moyes's Hammers side looked to be in for a tough evening when Georginio Wijnaldum headed home Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross 10 minutes in.

But it took the visitors just two minutes to muster a reply, when Robert Snodgrass's fizzing corner was met by the head of Issa Diop to equalise.

Liverpool were largely kept at bay in the first-half, with Mohamed Salah and Robert Firmino both firing over.

Alexander-Arnold's deflected free-kick then narrowly went the wrong side of the post, before Virgil van Dijk headed onto the crossbar from the resulting corner before half-time.

They found themselves behind, after Pablo Fornals, on as a sub for just eight minutes, swept home, only or Salah's equaliser with just over 20 minutes to go.
