City cruise through to the quarter-finals with a 4-0 aggregate win over Gladbach after beating them 2-0 in the second leg. They controlled the game but secured the win in the first half, with De Bruyne opening the scoring with a great strike into the top corner from the edge of the box that gave Sommer no chance. Gundogan then doubled the lead six minutes later, hitting his low shot under the goalkeeper and into the far bottom corner.
