Burnley were cruelly denied a point against Manchester United when Mason Greenwood bagged another late winner.

The Clarets secured a memorable win at the Red Devils last season and again held their own against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men.

Chris Wood thought he'd given the visitors an early lead before the offside flag denied him in what was largely an underwhelming first-half.

The second 45 burst into life when Greenwood slotted home to put the hosts ahead. That lead was short lived though as James Tarkowski headed home Burnley's equalisers.

The game continued to ebb and flow as both side's enjoyed periods of dominance.

Burnley's set piece threat made sure they remained in the contest on a day when competitiveness and elitism appear to have clashed in what could have seismic consequences for football.
