”Forget about ur friend!it u I want to talk to! pls I want u to give me a listening ears”,kelvin said looking at Katy smiling ”wat do u want to talk to me? I hope there is no problem? Katy asked confusedly

”there is no problem Katy! just that errrm”, short of words ”kelvin are u ok? Katy asked in a concerned tone

”errrrm yea am ok!Katy I don’t know how u will feel if I tell u this! but I just have to open up”, kelvin said ”kelvin just go ahead and tell me wat u wants to tell me! am all ears”, Katy said ”ok!! Katy I know u will be thinking that am a womanizer for wat am about to tell u”, kelvin said and held Katy’s hand ”kelvin are u ok? this one u are holding my hand? Katy said with a surprise look on her face

”katy! u look very much different from ur friend! u are so gentle, nice and u look so innocent! u are exactly the kind of woman I have been looking for! pls Katy! I want u to give me the chance to come into ur life”, kelvin said looking at Katy’s face ”wat nonsense are u talking about kelvin! the last time I could remember, u were running after my friend Betty! u told me how u love her!! and now u are telling me to give u a chance into my life! I hope u are not giving me the impression that u are a womanizer and a playboy? Katy asked confusedly

”no Katy, am not a womanizer! am only looking for true love, someone that will love me for who I am! and I see u as the person! I made a mistake by coming to ur friend at the first place! ur friend is so rude, mannerless,and she always feel highly of herself! but u are far different from her! Katy pls give me a chance, I promise u won’t regret it pls”, kelvin said while Katy sighed heavily

”am sorry kelvin, I can’t accept that, because if I do, it will make me look cheap! am sorry! let me be on my way now”, Katy said and made to turn but kelvin held her back ”katy pls don’t walked out on me like that! pls I beg u, I am very serious! I promise I will never break ur heart and cheat on u! pls give me a chance into ur life I beg u! I am not here to play with u, I am here for a serious relationship! I want a woman like u in my life, a woman that will take me the way I am! a woman that will understand me when I don’t have! I know am not rich but I promise to do my best for u”, kelvin said, the words of kelvin touched Katy’s mind as she sighed heavily

”ok it alright!! have heard wat u said! but u will give me time to think about it! I can’t just jump into the relationship without thinking”, Katy said ”oh thank u! I will give u all the time u need”, kelvin said smiling ”it alright! let me be going now! I will give u feedback”, Katy said smiling ”ok dear! have a nice day”, kelvin said smiling as Katy nodded her head and walked away.

Betty got home and saw a limousine car parked outside their compound, she smiled to herself and moved closer to the car admiring it ”who owns the beautiful car parked in our compound! or do we have a visitor in our house? I pray so o! let me go in to know”, Betty said smiling as she walked into the house, she opened the door and sighted a wealthy man sitting on their chair, so she smiled and greeted her father

”papa good afternoon!! she greeted ”afternoon my daughter, how is lecture today? the father asked ”lecture is fine! good afternoon sir”, Betty greeted chief Rufus ”afternoon my angel! how are u? chief Rufus said ”am very fine sir”, she responded ”my daughter pls sit down let me introduce him to u”, Betty’s father said as Betty happily sat down smiling

”my daughter! this is chief Rufus my good friend and he said he wants to marry u”, Betty’s father said smiling as chief Rufus cleared his throat and spoke ”ret me intloduce myself well for my angel! baby gal! my name is chief lufus, the one and onry international Igbo man who do import and export of goods, so baby gal I want to mally u, I plomise I will take good care of u well well, I will change u totarry, I have money o”,chief Rufus said smiling as he adjust himself well

”chief chief! I know wat u can do! take her, she is all URS”, Betty’s father said smiling ”papa yes I will marry him! this is the kind of man I want, a man that has money and can take good care of me”, Betty said excitedly ”vely good! my in-raw, don’t wolly I will come next week to do the apploplate thing! my baby thank u! u will not leglet me! I have money o”, chief Rufus said as Betty and her father was seen smiling.

TWO DAYS LATER

”hmmmm!! Betty Betty! this one u are this happy, wat is the secret because I have never seen u this happy before”, Katy said to Betty who just came to visit her at their house ”katy my friend! I am over excited! so so excited”, Betty said fanning her face with her hand ”pls share me the good news na! am curious to know”, Katy said smiling ”hmmm ok o! I am getting married soon to a very wealthy man! his name is chief Rufus! oh my God am so happy”, Betty said smiling and adjusting her dress

”oh my God! wow am happy for u!! Katy said smiling ”and he is coming next week to do the appropriate things, am so so happy! finally I have gotten my dream man”, Betty happily said twisting her waist ”oh thank God for u! that’s a good news indeed! well anyway! kelvin ur boyfriend or should I say ex boyfriend! is asking me to date him,..so I said I should inform u first”, katy said but a bit uneasy ”hmmmm!! that pauper! that wreched hungry fowl is asking u to date him! date him na if u like, afterall u are used in dating poor people! that one is not my business abeg! na ur concern be that! i only came to share u the good news”, Betty said looking at Katy disgustfully
